New Delhi, 13th June. Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former cricketer Gautam Gambhir on Sunday hit out at “secular liberals” for their silence in the wake of threats being received by suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
Supporting Sharma, Gambhir tweeted, “The ghastly display of hatred across the country against a woman who has apologised, and the silence of so called ‘secular liberals’ on those who threatened to kill her is really insane.”
The alleged objectionable statement made by Sharma during the televised debate was opposed by several Muslim organisations.
