NLC India Donates Rs 4.30 Crore to Tamil Nadu CM Relief Fund for Flood-Affected People

 NLC India, a company under the Ministry of Coal, has contributed Rs 4.30 crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Public Relief Fund. This includes Rs 2.30 crore, which is equivalent to one day’s salary from NLC India employees.

The contribution is aimed at helping the people affected by the recent floods caused by Cyclone Michaung in Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Tuticorin, and Tirunelveli.

The Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India, Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, handed over the cheque to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Shri M.K. Stalin, at the Tamil Nadu Government Secretariat.

NLC India also provided assistance during the floods by deploying 18 large water pumps and clearing 51,20,000 cubic feet of water from affected areas.

Currently, they have deployed 12 similar pumps in Tuticorin to help with the ongoing rain situation.

Additionally, NLC India is providing drinking water supply from their RO plant in Tuticorin for the affected areas.
