Need to implement schemes for welfare of minorities: Naqvi

Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has stressed upon fast and transparent implementation of schemes for the welfare of the Minorities. He was inaugurating a workshop on “Financial Management” organised by National Minorities Development & Finance Corporation (NMDFC). The Minister expressed the hope that the workshop will help the officials of the respective State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) to improve their capacities & capabilities in delivering the benefits of the schemes to the targeted Minorities.

The Faculty from India Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad; Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) and National Institute of Banking & Finance had conducted the workshop and covered topics such as Financial Management for Non Finance Managers, Understanding and Analysis of the Financial Statements, Recovery management for Social Sector Lending Programmes & Statutory Compliances for Credit Institutions.

The program was well received by the participants and said that sessions have been very enlightening. The participants also observed that interactions held during the workshop will help them to further strengthen the implementation of schemes of NMDFC so that the benefit effectively reaches the needy persons from the target groups.
