Mumbai, 8th June. In a case similar to the Shraddha Walkar murder case, a 32-year-old lady was murdered and her body chopped into pieces at her rented residence on Mira Road in Mumbai by her 56-year-old live-in partner. According to police, she was killed about 2-3 days ago.
According to officials, the culprit, Manoj Sahni, killed the victim, Saraswati Vaidya, three to four days ago, then chopped up her body and boiled it in a pressure cooker before disposing of it. According to police, about 12-13 parts of the woman’s body were found from the scene.

The accused was quickly arrested. According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Jayant Bajbale, deputy commissioner of police (zone 1), said, “We have arrested Sahani and are investigating to find out the motive behind the murder and how he executed it.”
The victim, Saraswati Vaidya, was in a live-in relationship with a man, identified as Manoj Sahani, and the couple had been residing in the flat for the last three years, a senior official at the Naya Nagar police station said.
Police were alerted by local residents who complained of a foul smell emanating from the flat, he said.
“Police have found a body of a woman who had been cut into pieces, from a society in Mira Road area. Here a couple was living in a live-in relationship. Preliminary investigation revealed that the woman was hacked to death. Further Investigation underway,” Jayant Bajbale said.
The DCP further stated that the situation is being investigated further.
