MP State Press Club Concludes Rishikesh-Haridwar Religious Trip; 101-foot-long Chunar Offered to Maa Ganga

Indore, 24th Jan. The Madhya Pradesh State Press Club organized a seven-day trip to Rishikesh and Haridwar. This religious journey was attended by nearly 100 members of the media and family members. The State Press Club of Madhya Pradesh organized a special Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh and offered a 101-foot-long Chunar to Ganga Maiya.
During the seven-day visit, media representatives performed Havan and Navagraha Kirtan in the morning at Rishikesh’s famous Parmarth Niketan Ashram. During this, details about Pujya Swami Chidanand Saraswati ji’s Ganga conservation campaign were shared, and a pledge was made to preserve Mother Ganga as a national heritage.
In the twilight hours, Aarti was performed and Chunar of Ganga Maiya was offered amidst the chaupais of Hanuman Chalisa on the Ghat located on the banks of the Ganga. The media enjoyed boating in Rishikesh’s hilly areas. On this occasion, it was revealed that the famous Rishikesh Laxman Jhula is being rebuilt. This swing will now be made of glass.

During their visit to Haridwar, a group of journalists attended the consecration of a mercury Shivling, worship of an ancient Rudraksh tree, and bhajan sandhya at Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj’s Bharat Mata Ashram and Kankhal Ashram.
The team attended Ganga Maiya’s Aarti, which takes place in the evening at Har Ki Pauri. Media representatives also bathed in the Ganga and donated lamps.
Haridwar’s famous Manshadevi and Chandi Devi temples were also visited.
The team of journalists was congratulated by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, local MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, and MLA Madan Lal Kaushik.
At the time of departure from Indore, former MP Krishnamurari Moghe bid farewell to all the media persons.
During their stay in Indore on Sunday, the State Press Club of M.P. informed Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan about the Yatra by presenting a shawl, a garland of Rudraksh, and holy Ganges water.
