Bhopal, 23rd Dec. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has taken a tough stance against workplace negligence or lethargy these days, and as a result, he has suspended many officials by making surprise visits to many districts in the last few days. However, the Jabalpur High Court has granted relief to the officer suspended by the Chief Minister in a case and ordered to cancel his suspension.

Chhindwara CMHO GC Chaurasia recently challenged the Chief Minister’s suspension in the High Court. The High Court stayed Chaurasia’s suspension after hearing this. In addition, notices have been issued to the state government and others, requesting a response in the matter. Chhindwara CMHO GC Chaurasia was suspended by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on December 9 during the Chief Minister’s Public Service Campaign program. However, Chhindwara CMHO was not suspended for the first time. CM Shivraj suspended him on September 22 of this year, but the CMHO was granted relief by the High Court.

The counsel for GC Chaurasia argued in the Jabalpur High Court that the department had not provided a concrete reason for his suspension, and that the process was also improper. Following the hearing, the High Court reversed the suspension order and suspended the order of another officer appointed as CMHO in place of GC Chaurasia.

Let us remind you that Chief Minister Shivraj is in action mode these days, frequently suspending officers/employees from public platforms.
