MP: CM Chouhan Secures 6th Consecutive Win from Budhni, Defeats Congress’ Mastal by 1.04 lakh Votes

Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has emerged victorious from the Budhni constituency for the sixth time. He defeated Vikram Mastal, a Congress candidate who is also an actor-turned-politician, by a significant margin of 1,04,974 votes.

Chouhan, who holds the record for being the longest-serving Chief Minister of MP, initially won the Budhni Assembly seat in 1990. He then won a bypoll in 2006 and successfully retained the seat in 2008, 2013, and 2018.

In addition to his achievements in the state assembly, Chouhan has also served as a Member of Parliament from Vidisha in multiple terms, namely 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, and 2004.
