Kurukshetra, 4th July: Welcoming the Haryana Government’s visionary plan to establish a Disneyland in the Delhi-NCR region, Prof. M.M. Goel, former Vice-Chancellor and a noted advocate of sustainable tourism for Viksit Bharat, has strongly recommended Morni Hills in the Shivalik region as the most suitable location for the project.
In response to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s recent announcement following his meeting with Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Prof. Goel emphasized that Disneyland in Morni Hills would be a true game-changer—not just for Haryana but for India’s tourism sector as a whole.
“Morni Hills offers the natural serenity, scenic beauty, and geographical advantages that align with international tourism standards,” said Prof. Goel. “Unlike the overcrowded NCR, Morni Hills provides a clean, spacious, and sustainable setting ideal for a global attraction like Disneyland. It also holds the highest employment multiplier in the tourism sector.”
Prof. Goel, who explored investment opportunities in the region from South Korea after his visit in 2011, appealed to the Haryana Government to prioritize long-term vision and sustainability. He urged authorities to consider Morni Hills as the optimal site for this transformational project aimed at making Haryana a global tourism hotspot.
