Mumbai, 14th June.
German automaker Mercedes-Benz has committed to investing ₹30 billion ($360 million) in the Indian state of Maharashtra, according to Uday Samant, the state’s Industries Minister. The announcement came following discussions between Samant and representatives of Mercedes-Benz during his recent tour in Germany.

This investment marks a significant increase from the company’s earlier commitment in January, when it had announced plans to invest $24 million in India for the year.

Mercedes-Benz has not yet responded to requests for comment from Reuters regarding this latest development.
