Jaipur, 30th Jan. According to witnesses, a massive brawl broke out today at the Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan between two groups of people. The clash allegedly occurred after a Barelvi sect group, which was there to attend the urs (death anniversary) of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti’s dargah, raised pro-Barelvi sect slogans.

The slogans of another sect infuriated the dargah’s Khadims (custodians and servers), resulting in a clash between the two groups.

Two large groups of people are seen trading blows in video footage from the incident.

The dargah administration intervened and attempted to resolve the situation, while the local police also maintained control.

The pilgrims who had raised pro-Barelvi slogans were able to flee amid the chaos. There has been no police report filed.
