Mumbai, 23rd August. A man from Maharashtra’s Osmanabad district attempted suicide by setting himself on fire outside Mumbai’s Vidhan Bhavan on Tuesday morning, according to a police official.
Police officials on duty in the area doused the flames and rushed him to a hospital, officials said.
“He is not a farmer. We are trying to get information and ascertain the exact reason behind taking such a step,” he further said.

According to the official, the man was rushed to GT Hospital with 20 to 30% burns.
He is conscious, and the Marine Drive police are investigating the incident further, he added.
