Mamata Banerjee on 4-day North Bengal Visit from Today

Kolkata, 17th Oct. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will begin a four-day visit to the state’s northern districts on Monday, where she will meet with industrialists and attend administration meetings.

Banerjee is also expected to meet family members of those who died in flash floods in the Mal River in Jalpaiguri district earlier this month during the immersion of Goddess Durga idols, according to sources.

“The CM is also likely to host a Bijaya Sammilani’ event in Siliguri on October 19. Eminent personalities from north Bengal have been invited to the programme,” officials said.

Banerjee will hold meetings with senior government officials and discuss administrative issues in the northern districts, he said.

On October 20, the chief minister is expected to return to Kolkata.
