Maharashtra Govt to Cut VAT on Fuel: Eknath Shinde

Mumbai, 4th July. Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, told the state assembly on Monday that the government would soon lower the VAT on fuel.

After he won the floor test, Shinde informed the House that a decision to reduce VAT on fuel would be made in the state cabinet.

Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, won the floor test in the State Assembly on Monday.

The motion of confidence was supported by 164 MLAs in the 288-member House, while it was opposed by 99.

Speaker Rahul Narvekar declared that the trust vote was won by a majority vote.
