Maharashtra Government Prohibits Plastic-Coated Products

GG News Bureau

Mumbai, 27th July. The Maharashtra government has prohibited the sale of plastic-coated products in the state. The use of single-use plastic cups, plates, bowls, spoons, and containers is currently prohibited in the state.

However, plastic coated or plastic laminated products are now widely used in the market as paper dishes, containers, glasses, and cups. All of these items contain plastic. The decision is consistent with the Union Government’s policy of prohibiting single-use plastic in order to reduce pollution.
