Loken Singh Resigns as Manipur Congress President

Imphal, 17^th March. N Loken Singh resigned as the president of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee on Wednesday.

He took full responsibility for the Congress’s defeat in the recently held assembly polls.

The grand old Congress party, which ruled the northeastern state before the Bharatiya Janata Party first came to power in 2017, managed to get only five seats.

Congress had emerged the largest party in the previous assembly poll, securing 28 seats in the 60-member House.
