“Let Us Build a Nation of Harmony and Equality,” says President Murmu on Ambedkar Jayanti Eve

New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu has extended heartfelt greetings to the nation on the eve of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, honouring the legacy of the principal architect of the Indian Constitution.

In her message, President Murmu described Dr. Ambedkar as a man of “prodigious abilities and multifaceted personality” — an economist, educationist, jurist, and a towering social reformer. She highlighted his lifelong struggle for the economic and social upliftment of women and the underprivileged, and his strong advocacy for an egalitarian society.

“Babasaheb created a distinct identity of his own despite extreme difficulties and earned global respect for his extraordinary achievements,” the President stated.

Calling for national unity and equality, President Murmu urged citizens to uphold Ambedkar’s ideals and dedicate themselves to building a harmonious and inclusive India.

“His contributions will continue to inspire future generations to work with commitment for nation-building,” she added.
