Lucknow, 11th Oct. Leave for police officers and personnel in Uttar Pradesh has been canceled till October 18 due to the festivals of Navratri and Dussehra and the proposed programs of the Sanyukta Kisan Morcha. Leave will be allowed from the Headquarters during this period only for unavoidable reasons. An order in this regard has been issued by Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar on Sunday evening.
In this regard, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar has ordered all Zonal Additional Director General of Police, Commissioner of Police, Regional Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police, District Police In-charge, Superintendent of Police, Railway not to allow leave to police personnel till October 18.
Let us tell you that after the violence in Lakhimpur Kheri, the challenge of peace and order is increasing in other districts of Uttar Pradesh as well. With the activation of intelligence, instructions have been given to take extra vigil in many districts. Especially on Navratri and on October 15, the peace and order of Dussehra will be no less than an ordeal. This is the reason that after this, orders have been issued to cancel the leave of all police officers and policemen regarding Durga Puja, Ram Navami and Dussehra.
