LB Das Appointed Sikkim’s Minister of Urban Development

Gangtok, 2^nd September. LB Das, a newly appointed minister in the Sikkim government, has been assigned the portfolios of Urban Development and Food and Civil Supplies, according to a notification issued on Thursday.

Das, the former Sikkim assembly speaker, resigned last month and was appointed as a minister in the Prem Singh Tamang government.

Arun Kumar Upreti, who previously held Das’ portfolios, was appointed as the assembly’s new speaker.
