New Delhi, 3rd Feb. Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday highlighted India’s global stature, citing the Kumbh Mela’s exemplary management and the Union Budget 2025’s impact on taxpayers. Speaking at the 75th Annual Function of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) in New Delhi, he linked economic growth with national aspirations.
“The budget booster for taxpayers has radiated positivity all around,” Dhankhar remarked. Reflecting on his visit to the Kumbh Mela, he praised its world-class organization and inclusivity, noting that the congregation showcased India’s civilizational ethos.
Addressing India’s economic trajectory, he emphasized the need to channel the aspirations of the youth, equating their potential to “nuclear power” when guided effectively. He urged chartered accountants to foster economic nationalism, warning against the drain of foreign exchange through excessive imports.
“The path to becoming a developed nation requires an eightfold increase in per capita income. It’s a challenge, but an achievable one,” he asserted.
ICAI leaders and Rajya Sabha dignitaries, including CA N.D. Gupta and Shri P.C. Mody, attended the event.
