‘Knowledge is the Greatest Asset of Nation’, Says Rajnath Singh at the Convocation Ceremony of National Defence College

New Delhi, 25th Sep. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attends the convocation ceremony of NDC (National Defence College). He congratulated the members who received the degree of Master of Philosophy.

Referring to the recent incidents in Afghanistan, the Defence Minister said that the recent events in Afghanistan have exposed the reality of our times. The only certainty about the development of geopolitics is its uncertainty. Changes in the boundaries of the state may not happen as often as it used to be. He further said that for the victory of good over evil, Shri Krishna brought together knowledge, intelligence, and statecraft. Our aim is to build strategic relations at the national and international level. These principles are the core of strategic thinking. They were relevant in ancient times and they are still relevant for overcoming the challenges of today.
He said that the role of knowledge as the greatest asset of a country has been realized for a very long time. We have placed our gurus at the highest rank in the society. Knowledge and intelligence have been considered as the highest virtues in our society.
The National Defence College is a Defence Services Training Institute. It is a very prestigious course that only a few defence officers of the One-Star rank and civil servants of the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India attend.
