Key Accused of Parliament Security Breach Incident Arrested

 Lalit Mohan Jha, who is a key accused in the Parliament security breach incident, was arrested on Thursday evening, police sources said.

Jha was arrested in the national capital.

During Zero Hour on the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament terror attack, two individuals named Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery. They released yellow smoke from canisters and shouted slogans before being subdued by Members of Parliament.

At the same time, two others, including a woman, raised slogans and released yellow smoke from canisters outside the Parliament premises. This led to the arrest of the duo by the police.

The police have stated that the security breach at Parliament was a well-coordinated and carefully planned operation carried out by six individuals, all of whom are now in police custody.

Sagar, Manoranjan, Amol, and Neelam were apprehended at the site of the incident, while their accomplice Vishal, with whom they stayed before reaching Parliament, was detained in Gurugram.

Jha was arrested in New Delhi on Thursday.
