Himachal Pradesh, 5th May. Kangana Ranaut, an actor turned politician, erred when she confused Tejashwi Yadav with Tejasvi Surya, a BJP MP, in an attempt to ridicule the head of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) for “eating fish.” She was speaking at a Himachal Pradesh election rally when the incident happened.
Ranaut is running for the Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district as the BJP’s candidate. The rally was held there on Saturday.
Saying, “There is a party of spoiled shehzaada’ (princes),” she criticized the opposition. They are clueless on where to go. Tejasvi Surya, who engages in hooliganism and consumes fish, or Rahul Gandhi, who aspires to cultivate potatoes on the moon.”
“Ye mohtarma kaun hai (Who is this madam)?” Tejashwi Yadav responded to the mix-up when footage of Ranaut’s error went viral on social media.
Following his social media post last month featuring RJD head and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni chowing down on fried fish and rotis in a helicopter after campaigning, Tejashwi Yadav became entangled in controversy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several prominent members of the BJP attacked the RJD politician for the video’s content when it was released during Navratri.
Later on, the former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister confirmed that the video was recorded prior to the commencement of the week-long Navratri celebrations.
In addition to her embarrassing error during the event, Kangana Ranaut also made disparaging remarks against the Congress, especially its deceased leaders. As a result, the party filed a complaint against her with the Election Commission.
“Motilal Nehru, the father of the late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, was an Ambani in his day, but nobody is aware of the source of his fortune or assets. He had tight ties to the British, and it is still unknown how he acquired his riches, she claimed.
“Nobody knows how Jawaharlal Nehru became the prime minister as voting was in favour of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ” . This “deemak’ (termite) of dynastic authority has since spread throughout the nation. A ‘tapasvion ke sarkar’ (BJP government) governs on the one side, while ‘bhoogion ke sarkar’ (Congress) of small groups of ‘shehzaadas’ governs on the other. In a subdued allusion to Vikramaditya Singh, the Congress candidate facing the actor in Mandi, Ranaut stated, “One is in Delhi, and the other is here (in Himachal Pradesh).”
The Congress said that Ranaut “crossed all lines by making comparisons of freedom fighters with businessmen” and “used derogatory and insulting remarks against senior leaders of the Congress party” in their protest submitted by state convenors.
“She has tried to draw comparisons between freedom fighter Motilal Nehru with one of the top businessmen of the country.”
