New Delhi, 11th Nov. Justice Sanjiv Khanna was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India in a formal ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday.
The oath-taking ceremony took place at 10:00 AM in the Ganatantra Mandap, with the President of India administering the oath of office.
Justice Khanna, who now heads India’s judiciary, assumes this role following his extensive tenure and contributions as a Supreme Court judge.
His appointment brings with it expectations of continued commitment to upholding justice and reinforcing judicial integrity in the highest court of the land.
