JJP-Azad Samaj Party Alliance Announces 13 More Candidates for Haryana Assembly Polls

Chandigarh, 12th Sept. The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Azad Samaj Party (ASP) alliance on Thursday released its sixth list of candidates for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections, scheduled for October 5. The latest list includes 13 candidates, with senior JJP leader Ramesh Khatak contesting from the Kharkhoda constituency.

The ASP will be competing in the Bhiwani, Bahadurgarh, Mahendragarh, and Badshahpur seats, while the JJP has fielded candidates for the Karnal, Panipat Urban, Narwana, Uklana, Narnaund, Loharu, Nangal Chaudhary, and Badkhal constituencies.

So far, the alliance has declared candidates for 77 out of the 90 assembly seats, with JJP nominating 61 candidates.

The deadline for filing nominations is today.

Earlier, the alliance announced 34 candidates on Wednesday, and its first list, released on September 4, included 19 candidates with former Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala running from Uchana Kalan.

The JJP-Azad Samaj Party alliance, which includes Ajay Singh Chautala-led JJP and Chandra Shekhar Azad-led ASP, has also decided to support Ranjit Singh Chautala, who left the BJP after being denied a ticket, for the Rania assembly seat.
