Ranchi, 7th August. A 20-member delegation from the Jharkhand unit of the Congress departed for New Delhi on Wednesday to strategize with senior party leaders ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections later this year.
The team, led by Jharkhand Congress president Rajesh Thakur, will meet with Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal and the party’s Jharkhand in-charge, Ghulam Ahmad Mir. The discussions will focus on election strategies and preparations for the polls, Thakur confirmed at Ranchi airport.
“We have been called by our senior party leaders, K.C. Venugopal and Ghulam Ahmad Mir, for meetings to strategize on winning the upcoming assembly elections,” Thakur said. The last Jharkhand assembly elections for the 81-member legislature were held in November-December 2019.
The delegation includes ministers, legislators, and working presidents from Jharkhand. Thakur noted that discussions will also cover potential alliances and other critical issues related to the elections.
