Ramgarh, 2nd March. The AJSU Party’s Sunita Choudhary won the by-election to Jharkhand’s Ramgarh seat on Thursday, defeating the UPA-backed Congress’ Bajrang Mahto by a margin of 21,970 votes, according to the Election Commission.
According to the results of the by-election, the AJSU Party, which teamed up with the BJP, received 1,15,669 votes, while the Congress, an ally of the ruling JMM-led coalition, received 93,699 votes.
The Ramgarh assembly by-election vote counting began at 8 a.m.
