Is Sonia Gandhi a Super Human Being? asks Pralhad Joshi Amid Sloganeering by Opposition MPs

New Delhi, 21st July. Congress MPs protested in Parliament on Thursday against the Central government ahead of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi’s questioning by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi attacked the Congress party, saying that “they believe they are above the law.”
Joshi said in Lok Sabha, “Everybody is equal before the law or not? Is the Congress president (Sonia Gandhi) a super human being? They (Congress) think they are above the law…”. Later, the House was adjourned until 11:30 a.m.
Earlier, the Congress party claimed that the Delhi Police were barring journalists from entering the AICC headquarters in Delhi, and that this “high-handedness” reflected the mindset of the Narendra Modi government.
“From the early hours of this morning the Delhi Police — obviously taking orders from the Union Home Minister — is preventing the media from entering the Congress party headquarters,” Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a tweet.
“This high-handedness was only to be expected and reflects the mindset of the Modi Sarkar,” he added.
In the National Herald case, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in Delhi today. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, her daughter and party leader, accompanied her.
Gandhi’s son, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, was previously questioned in this case for five days.
In this case, Rahul and Sonia Gandhi are being investigated under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
