IPS Rajender Kumar Upadhyay Elevated to DGP Grade

New Delhi, 2nd June. Rajender Kumar Upadhyay (IPS:1991: AGMUT) has been elevated to the rank of DGP.
Upadhyay’s promotion order was approved by the competent authority and issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs on Wednesday (31.05.2023).
The promotion takes effect on June 1, 2023, or on the day of charge assumption, whichever comes first.
The screening committee gave a recommendation for promotion at its meeting on February 27, 2022.
