Jakarta, 2nd May: Indonesia has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22nd. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto also used the opportunity to deliver a sharp rebuke to Pakistan.
Following a meeting with the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto expressed his deep condolences regarding the Kashmir terror attack. During the meeting, he indirectly criticized Pakistan, stating that “Islam does not teach such things here.”
According to a report in The Economic Times, Prabowo emphasized that the attack does not reflect Indonesian Islamic teachings. He also stressed the importance of controlled military influence in democracies. Prabowo strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Both leaders agreed to enhance cooperation against terrorism.
President Prabowo Subianto stated that Islam does not teach such terrorist attacks. He expressed his views on the Kashmir attack, saying that the teachings of Islam practiced in Indonesia do not condone such acts of terror. He conveyed this message to Sandeep Chakravorty, the Indian Ambassador to Indonesia. He added that such terrorism cannot yield any positive results and advocated for dialogue without resorting to weapons.
The Indonesian President affirmed his solidarity with India in combating terrorist attacks like the one in Pahalgam. He emphasized that Indonesian Islam does not teach such acts of terrorism. As Indonesia is a major Muslim-majority country, its statement serves as a significant message to Pakistan.
