IndiGo Commits to 30 A350-900 Planes in Firm Order with Airbus

Airbus announced on Monday that IndiGo has finalized a firm order for 30 A350-900 aircraft, marking a significant move for the budget carrier into the wide-body segment.

Previously, on April 25, IndiGo had announced its intention to place a firm order for the A350-900 planes.

Highlighting India’s rapid growth in the aviation sector, Airbus emphasized the country’s position as the world’s fastest-growing major aviation market, poised for an international travel surge driven by economic expansion and rising household incomes.

According to Airbus, the A350-900 is strategically aligned to meet India’s increasing demand for long-range travel, making it an ideal choice for the market.

While the financial specifics of the transaction were not disclosed, Airbus underscored the A350-900’s status as the most modern and efficient wide-body aircraft in the 300-410 seater category, reinforcing its suitability for diverse operational requirements.
