India’s Youth Can Draw Strength by Embracing Hanuman’s Qualities: VHP President Alok Kumar
Grand Hanuman Jayanti celebration held at Sajjangarh, Satara, Maharashtra
Satara: On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, a grand spiritual event was held at the sacred Sajjangarh in Satara, Maharashtra—known as the meditation ground of Saint Samarth Ramdas Swami. The event was graced by Alok Kumar, International President of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), who delivered an inspiring address highlighting Hanuman ji’s timeless values.
Alok Kumar’s “Sant Darshan Yatra” began on April 9 in Maharashtra, during which he met various saints and spiritual leaders to discuss the role of saintly traditions in nation-building. Upon his arrival at Sajjangarh, he was warmly welcomed by Bhushan Swami Ramdasi, head of the Samarth Ramdas Swami Sansthan at the fort.
In his address, Alok Kumar spoke about the qualities of Lord Hanuman, emphasizing that if the youth of India imbibe qualities such as devotion, fearlessness, celibacy, service, and valor, the nation would regain its lost glory. He also praised the work of Samarth Ramdas Swami, who established over 1,100 Hanuman temples and monasteries across India, which served as centers for national thought, military training, spiritual inspiration, and social organization.
Kumar highlighted the strategic significance of these temples during the reign of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, particularly after his return from Agra to Raigad. He mentioned that these Hanuman temples were crucial for planning and nation-building during the rise of Swarajya.
The event also saw the participation of key dignitaries, including Atul Shalgar (Vice President, VHP Satara District), Deepak Dixit (Joint Secretary, VHP Satara District), Sanjay Mudrale (Religious Head, Maharashtra-Goa Province, VHP), Nagnath Bonarge (Co-Head, Provincial Religious Contact), Sanjay Kulkarni (Co-Head, Religious Outreach, Maharashtra-Goa), and Yogesh Bua Ramdasi (Sajjangarh Representative).
The program concluded with a collective recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa, followed by prayers for national welfare.
