The largest hockey stadium of our country will be built at Rourkela in Odisha. The stadium will accommodate 20,000 people at a time. Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik made this announcement on Thursday. The stadium will have world class facilities. The stadium will host the Hockey World Cup in 2023.
Naveen Patnaik made this important announcement in a video message, saying, “As we said earlier, Odisha will be proud to host the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023. The tournament will be held in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.”
It must be noted that recently the senior officials of the state government, the International Hockey Federation, the Sports Ministry and a team from Hockey India visited Rourkela.
