New Delhi: The third time scheduled meeting between defense minister and foreign minister of India and USA also known as 2+2 meeting is going too held on September 6, 2018.
Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman will meet his counterpart US Secretary of defense James Mattis, External affairs minister Sushma Sawaraj to US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo on the side line of 2+2 meet going to held on 6th September in India.
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, The 2+2 meeting will cover a broad range of bilateral, regional and global issues of shared interest, with a view to strengthening strategic and security ties between the two countries.
He said, this new dialogue format is in pursuit of agreement reached between India and the US during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Washington on 25-26 June in 2017.
