India Records 175 Covid Infections in a Day, Active Caseload Falls to 2,570

New Delhi, 4th Jan. According to Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday, India recorded 175 new Covid infections in a single day, while the active caseload fell to 2,570.
The total number of Covid cases in India is over a crore, with a death toll of 5,30,707, according to data updated at 8 a.m.
The daily positivity rate was 0.09 percent, while the weekly positivity rate was 0.12%.

Active caseload decreased by 12 in a single day and now accounts for 0.01 percent of total infections.
According to the health ministry’s website, the national COVID-19 recovery rate has risen to 98.8 percent.
The number of people who have recovered from the disease has risen to 4,41,45,854, while the case fatality rate recorded at 1.19 percent.
