India Moving Towards Becoming Third-largest Economy: PM Modi at Rozgar Mela

New Delhi, 30th Oct. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Rozgar Mela on Tuesday, celebrating the distribution of over 51,000 appointment letters to youth in government departments and organizations via videoconferencing. The event underscores the Prime Minister’s commitment to prioritizing employment generation and empowering young individuals to contribute to nation-building.

Expressing his joy at the event, PM Modi stated, “It is a matter of great joy to have handed over appointment letters for government jobs to 51,000 youth. Best wishes to all the youth who are taking a step towards nation building.” He emphasized the government’s dedication to ensuring maximum employment for the country’s youth.

During his address, PM Modi remarked, “Today, India is moving towards becoming the third largest economy in the world.” He highlighted the government’s promotion of initiatives such as Make in India and self-reliant India, noting that these policies have been instrumental in creating job opportunities across various sectors.

The Prime Minister also announced the introduction of the Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme, which will provide paid internships in the top 500 companies in India, further enhancing employment opportunities for the youth.

The Rozgar Mela coincides with the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, with PM Modi conveying his best wishes to all and remarking that this Diwali will be special, being the first since Lord Shri Ram’s installation in his temple in Ayodhya after 500 years. He commended the new recruits and congratulated them on their appointments.

PM Modi reiterated the importance of job creation, linking it to the government’s infrastructure development initiatives, including the construction of expressways, railways, and airports. He mentioned his recent visit to Vadodara, where he inaugurated an aircraft manufacturing facility, which he noted would generate thousands of jobs and benefit the MSME sector.

Highlighting the government’s efforts to improve the Khadi industry, PM Modi noted its significant growth over the past decade, with sales increasing by 400%. He also discussed the successful Lakhpati Didi scheme, aimed at providing self-employment opportunities for rural women.

In closing, PM Modi stressed the government’s focus on skill development and outlined initiatives like Skill India and the Pradhan Mantri Internship Yojana. He urged the new recruits to maintain a humble attitude, continuously learn, and strive for excellence in their roles, emphasizing the expectation that they will contribute significantly to the nation’s progress.
