India Has No Time to Lose, We Must Build a Life of Dignity for All: PM Modi in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, 17th Sept. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple development projects worth more than ₹8,000 crore in Ahmedabad on Monday. The projects span railways, roadways, housing, power, and finance sectors, marking a significant boost to the region’s infrastructure.
During the event, PM Modi launched the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service between Ahmedabad and Bhuj and flagged off several new Vande Bharat Express trains on routes including Nagpur-Secunderabad, Kolhapur-Pune, Agra Cantt-Banaras, Durg-Visakhapatnam, and Pune-Hubballi. He also introduced India’s first 20-coach Vande Bharat train from Varanasi to Delhi.
Additionally, the Prime Minister sanctioned over 30,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin and inaugurated the Single Window IT System (SWITS) of the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), designed to streamline global financial operations.
PM Modi Highlights Key Achievements
In his address, PM Modi emphasized that these initiatives mark a milestone in India’s ongoing progress during the first 100 days of his third term as Prime Minister. He stated, “The first 100 days of our third term have brought impactful development for all. India is moving rapidly towards development, and this is the golden period, the Amrit Kaal of our nation.”
PM Modi also reflected on critical decisions, including free healthcare treatment worth ₹5 lakh for all elderly citizens above 70 years, aimed at benefiting middle-class and poor families. He noted that the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail and expanded Vande Bharat network would significantly enhance urban and intercity connectivity, particularly benefiting middle-class families.
Gujarat’s Role in India’s Future
The Prime Minister hailed Gujarat’s contributions to India’s growth, emphasizing that the state is emerging as a major hub for manufacturing, education, and technology. He noted that Gujarat is set to produce the first Made-in-India Transport Aircraft (C-295) and is leading the Semiconductor Mission.
“This is the time for India to rise. We have no time to lose. Gujarat, with its hardworking people, will play a pivotal role in India’s development,” he added.
PM Modi also offered condolences to those affected by recent floods in Gujarat, reassuring the public that both central and state governments are actively working on rehabilitation efforts.
The event was attended by Gujarat’s Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with other dignitaries.
