India-EU Strategic Partnership to Grow Stronger: PM Modi

New Delhi, 8th Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the European Council Antonio Costa held a telephone conversation on Tuesday, focusing on enhancing the India-EU Strategic Partnership.

PM Modi congratulated President Costa on assuming office and expressed optimism about furthering ties between India and the European Union. The leaders highlighted key areas for collaboration, including trade, technology, investment, green energy, and the digital space.

Emphasizing the importance of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA), both leaders called for its early and mutually beneficial conclusion.

The discussion also touched upon regional and global developments of mutual interest, with both leaders agreeing to work closely on shared objectives. They expressed anticipation for the next India-EU Summit, which is expected to take place in India at a mutually convenient date.
