New Delhi- Former US House Chief Administrative Officer Scot Faulkner has hailed India’s rise as a global economic powerhouse and a key player in shaping the world’s future. Speaking on Thursday during his visit to India for a media conclave, Faulkner highlighted the country’s rapid technological and governance advancements, which are transforming its economic landscape.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Faulkner described him as one of the world’s most influential leaders and a source of inspiration. “India is at the forefront of 21st-century development, seamlessly integrating technology and governance to meet the evolving needs of its people,” he stated.
During his visit to the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya and the newly constructed Parliament building, Faulkner lauded India’s commitment to preserving its leadership legacy. He emphasized that more such institutions should be established worldwide, calling the museum an inspiration that should be shared globally.
Faulkner, who has previously held executive positions in the Reagan administration, the Federal Aviation Administration, and the Peace Corps, was particularly impressed with India’s new Parliament. He praised its state-of-the-art architecture, advanced translation facilities, and fully automated document management system, noting that these innovations set a global benchmark.
With a background in governance and policy, Faulkner holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Lawrence University. He has also studied at the London School of Economics and Georgetown University and currently serves as Vice President of Shepherd University’s George Washington Institute of Living Ethics.
Faulkner’s remarks reinforce India’s growing stature on the world stage as it continues to drive economic growth, technological advancements, and governance reforms.
