Johannesburg, 23rd Nov: India, Australia and Canada on Saturday jointly announced the launch of a new trilateral initiative — the Australia-Canada-India Technology and Innovation (ACITI) Partnership — aimed at strengthening cooperation in critical and emerging technologies.

The partnership will complement ongoing bilateral collaborations among the three nations while focusing on building secure and resilient supply chains, especially in sectors such as critical minerals and green energy.

The initiative seeks to bolster joint ambitions toward achieving net-zero goals through enhanced strategic innovation and cooperation. Mass adoption and responsible deployment of artificial intelligence will be another key pillar of this framework, with a focus on improving the lives of citizens across partner countries.

Officials from the three sides will convene in the first quarter of 2026 to advance the partnership and outline future actions.
