Jaipur, 17th Oct. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge stated on Monday that if his party retains power in Rajasthan, it will also come to power at the Centre in 2024.

Kharge made this statement while launching an awareness campaign for the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP) in Baran district.

He referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent speeches where he mentioned a “red diary” containing financial irregularities of the Rajasthan government led by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

Kharge said the diary predicts that the Congress will form its government again in Rajasthan after the upcoming Assembly polls.

He further emphasized that if the Congress government is formed in Rajasthan, the party will come to power at the Centre in 2024.

Kharge also criticized the BJP for not fulfilling their promises to the people of Rajasthan, despite electing 25 BJP MPs from the state in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Also, he accused the BJP of dividing people based on religion and caste, in response to the Congress’s demand for a nationwide caste census.

The Rajasthan Assembly elections will take place on November 25, with the counting of votes scheduled for December 3.
