New Delhi, 26th July. Kapil Sibal, a Rajya Sabha member, attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, questioning how INDIA can have trust in him when he “lacks” the confidence to make a statement in Parliament.
Sibal’s comments were made immediately before his previous party, Congress, announced that it would move to dissolve the government over the Manipur issue.
”No Confidence Motion,” Sibal wrote in a tweet. When the PM lacks the confidence to address the House of Representatives, he or she maintains “maun” on Brij Bhushan and the crimes against women in Manipur until the Supreme Court weighs in. How can I.N.D.I.A believe he is trustworthy?
In a meeting in Parliament on Tuesday, members of the opposition alliance INDIA (Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance) participated in the decision over the resolution. One of the alliance leaders said that at the opposition leaders’ meeting, it was decided after considering several options that this would be a successful strategy to persuade the administration to start a conversation on the matter.
Last Thursday, Prime Minister Modi claimed that the Manipur event in which women were displayed in their undies had embarrassed 140 crore Indians and promised that the law would act with all of its might and that no one would be spared.
