New Delhi, 25th Nov: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah paid homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur on the 350th anniversary of his martyrdom, honouring the ninth Sikh Guru’s legacy as ‘Hind Ki Chadar’.

In a message on X, the Home Minister bowed to Guru Tegh Bahadur and recalled his life of deep spiritual practice, sacred teachings and unwavering commitment to protecting India’s cultural and religious values.

Shah said Guru Tegh Bahadur stood firmly against brutal invaders, fought for Kashmiri Pandits, challenged the tyranny of the Mughal regime and ultimately sacrificed everything for the defence of dharma.

He said the Guru’s saga of courage, restraint, selflessness and devotion continues to inspire pride and strengthens the nation’s resolve to uphold freedom and safeguard its cultural heritage.
