Himachal CM Jai Ram Thakur Launches ‘Satya Nishtha’ App to Aid Police

Dharamshala, 3rd Oct. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur launched the ‘Satya Nishtha’ app on Sunday, the state’s first-of-its-kind app devised with the help of Kangra district police, to help in the investigation and control of criminal activities.

The chief minister stated that the app will assist police in compiling a database of criminals as well as studying the various offenses that occur in the district’s various police stations.

The app was created with the help of Kangra Superintendent of Police Kushal Sharma.

“With this app, a database of information on migrant labourers, foreigners and suspicious persons can be prepared to help speed up investigation in criminal cases. The data available in the app can be accessed from anywhere and at any time, CM Thakur said.

According to SP Sharma, ‘Satya Nishtha’ is the state’s first-of-its-kind app. Data from previous years will assist in the strengthening of police operations and the comparative study of crimes, he added.

The app was brought out at a cost of Rs 3.70 lakh.
