Himachal CM Jai Ram Appointed Head of State BJP Election Steering Committee

Shimla, 23rd August. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has been appointed as the president of the state BJP election steering committee, state BJP chief Suresh Kashyap said.

Kashyap said in a statement issued here on Monday evening that Thakur was appointed head of the state BJP election steering committee after consulting with the party’s top leadership.

In addition, former HP Assembly Speaker Rajeev Bindal has been appointed president of the state BJP election management committee, he said.

Himachal Pradesh’s assembly elections are scheduled to be held within the next four months.
