GG News Bureau

Shimla, 14th Oct. The Bharatiya Janata Party has expelled former minister Narendra Bragta’s son Chetan Bragta from the party. BJP has taken this action for going against the party line and filing an independent nomination. It is being said that he has been expelled from the party for 6 years. Party’s state president Suresh Kashyap has issued expulsion orders. Let us tell you that Chetan Bragta was posted as the state convener of the BJP IT department.

Actually, Wednesday was the last day for the withdrawal of candidates in the Himachal Pradesh by-elections. All eyes were on Chetan Bragta, a rebel from the BJP from Jubbal Kotkhai. It was in everyone’s mind whether Chetan Bragta would withdraw his nomination or not. Sources said that Chetan Bragta will not withdraw his nomination. This is the reason that the Himachal BJP high command expelled him from the party in the evening. Few hours ago there was news that BJP has warned him that if he does not withdraw his nomination, he will be expelled from the party.

At present, 18 candidates are in the fray in all the four seats. But the eyes are on Jubbal Kotkhai seat, because from here BJP has cut Chetan’s ticket and given it to Neelam Saraik. Here Congress is contesting with Rohit Thakur. Rohit has been MLA from here twice. Six candidates are in the fray from the Mandi parliamentary seat.
