Helicopter Crash: AP Government Announces Rs 50 lakh Ex-gratia to Family of Lance Naik B Sai Teja

Amravati, 11^th Dec. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday announced an ex-gratia of Rs 50 lakh for the family of Lance Naik B. Sai Teja, who died in a helicopter crash on 8 December.

Hailing from Chittoor district, Sai Teja was the Personal Security Officer (PSO) to Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat. He was killed along with 11 others in the Mi-17 V5 helicopter crash that took place at Katteri near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu.

In a tweet, the AP Chief Minister’s Office said the government announced the Rs 50 lakh ex-gratia to Lance Naik’s family.

The mortal remains of Lance Naik were expected to arrive in his native village Yegua Regadi Palli in Chittoor district on Sunday.
