Accompanied by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Jindal (54) submitted his nomination before the returning officer in Kurukshetra, disclosing that neither he nor his wife owned any vehicles. As the chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited, Jindal declared assets including gold and other jewelry worth over Rs 40 crore.
According to his poll affidavit, Jindal’s movable assets total nearly Rs 886 crore, while his wife’s assets amount to nearly Rs 114 crore. Additionally, Jindal holds agricultural land in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, and non-agricultural land in the same region.

Having switched from Congress to BJP in March, Jindal, a former MP from Kurukshetra (2004-2014), asserted that he had not been convicted of any criminal offence, despite facing accusations related to the alleged coal scam.
Facing opponents such as INLD’s Abhay Singh Chautala and AAP’s Sushil Gupta in the Kurukshetra constituency, Jindal remains confident in his integrity, expressing trust in the judiciary to uphold his innocence.
The AAP, contesting as part of the opposition’s INDIA bloc, is among the competitors in Kurukshetra, with the Congress contesting the remaining nine Lok Sabha constituencies in Haryana.
With polling scheduled for May 25, the nomination process for the 10 constituencies commenced on Monday, with the deadline for filing nominations set for May 6. Scrutiny of nominations will take place on May 7, with candidates allowed to withdraw until May 9.
