Karnal, 3rd June.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini of Haryana refuted allegations from the Delhi government regarding water shortages, affirming that his state has been supplying water to the national capital beyond the agreed-upon quantity.

Addressing reporters in Karnal, CM Saini criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for purportedly misleading the public and urged the AAP administration to prioritize efficient management and distribution of water resources.

“We are giving water to Delhi over and above the agreed-upon quantity,” stated CM Saini, dismissing claims of inadequate supply.

Regarding exit polls forecasting Prime Minister Modi’s third consecutive term, CM Saini reiterated the NDA’s anticipated landslide victory, expressing confidence in securing 400 seats.

Responding to predictions suggesting the BJP might not replicate its 2019 success in Haryana, CM Saini remained optimistic, asserting BJP’s triumph in all 11 seats, including the Karnal assembly bypoll.

In a veiled critique of CM Kejriwal’s governance, CM Saini emphasized the need for prioritizing development over diversionary tactics, urging AAP to address Delhi’s infrastructure needs rather than blaming Haryana for water shortages.

The water crisis in Delhi has escalated, with the AAP government accusing Haryana of withholding the national capital’s water share. Conversely, the BJP has blamed AAP’s mismanagement for exacerbating the crisis.

In recent developments, the Delhi government moved the Supreme Court seeking urgent intervention to mitigate water shortages, while Haryana contends it has surpassed the agreed-upon water supply to Delhi.
