Haryana and Punjab on High Alert as Farmers Plan Protest March to Delhi

Chandigarh, 7th Dec. The Punjab and Haryana governments are on high alert as farmers prepare to march towards Delhi in protest. To ensure peace and prevent any untoward incidents, the Haryana government has put special measures in place. As part of the security arrangements, internet services have been suspended in key areas of Ambala, where the disruption will continue until December 9, 2024.

The affected areas include Dangdeheri, Lohgarh, Manakpur, Dadiyana, Bari Ghel, Lahars, Kalu Majra, Devi Nagar, Saddopur, Sultanpur, and Kakru in Ambala. In these areas, mobile internet services (2G/3G/4G/5G/CDMA/GPRS), bulk SMS (excluding banking and mobile recharge), and all dongle services on mobile networks have been suspended. However, voice call services will remain operational.

The Haryana government has issued orders to all telecom service providers in the region to ensure strict compliance with the suspension of services. The measures are being taken to prevent any potential unrest or disruptions during the planned farmer protests.
