The largest Central Armed Police Force in India, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), was founded on July 27 each year, marking the occasion as Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Foundation Day. The CRPF, one of India’s top Central Police Forces, is one of the bravest security forces we have ever seen. These organizations, known as the Crown Representative’s Police, have existed since the British Empire. As soon as India gained its freedom from the colonial raj, on December 28, 1949, the CRPF Act was passed, giving the force its current name: the Central Reserve Police Force.
The force, which was established with the goal of assisting the government in upholding the Rule of Law, performs a variety of tasks, such as crowd control, riot control, counter-militancy/insurgency operations, and dealing with left wing extremism. In accordance with government policy, the force also takes part in the UN Peacekeeping Mission and aids in rescue and relief efforts during natural disasters and calamities.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sent his best wishes to every member of the force. According to PM Modi, the CRPF has “distinguished itself for its unwavering courage and distinguished service,” and its performance is “commendable.”

The Crown Representative’s Police, or CRPF, was established on July 27th, 1939, but its name was changed after India gained independence. The organization, which is the largest central police force in the nation, is vital to counterinsurgency efforts.
